DESCRIPTION:Anton Podbevšek Theatre invites you to a performance of Losing Humanity this September. Performances will take place on Thursday\, 3 September\, and from Monday to Wednesday\, 7–9 September 2026\, at 8.00 pm. \nAbout the performance\nLosing Humanity is a cultural reconstruction and analysis of the Srebrenica Massacre in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The production places into context the tragedy that unfolded between 11 and 19 July 1995 during the military operation codenamed Krivaja 1995\, when soldiers of the Republika Srpska Army killed and massacred more than 8\,000 people. According to the memorial at Srebrenica\, the total number of victims recorded in 2025 is 8\,372\, although the final figure has not yet been established. Most of those killed were Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) from the Middle Podrinje region. \n\n“…it is necessary to write about Srebrenica\, because no poem\, no story\, no novel\, nor any play about Srebrenica can ever truly reach its end…”\nLosing Humanity (The Sorrowful Secrets of Srebrenica)\n\nThe performance will be presented in Slovenian. \nEvent website.
