SUMMARY:Exhibition Opening: Andrej Perko – Sinkings
DESCRIPTION:The Janez Trdina Cultural Centre\, in co-production with the DLUD\, invites you to the opening of the exhibition Andrej Perko: Sinkings on Monday\, 14 September 2026\, at 8.00 pm at Kocka Gallery. \nThis photographic exhibition by Andrej Perko\, winner of the 4th Etike(te) Biennial award\, is closely connected to his childhood memories\, part of which he spent in the Dolenjska region by the River Krka. Sinkings is therefore not merely a geographical concept but carries much broader connotations: sinking as an act of remembering on the one hand\, and sinking as a means of hiding from the world on the other – into the realm of the unconscious and the concealed. Much remains hidden within his almost abstract images\, at times beyond the reach of words\, yet everything in Andrej Perko’s photographs – if we look closely – is strikingly revealed. \nThe exhibition will be on display until 15 October 2026. \nEvent website
