SUMMARY:Opening of the Running Season and Running Shoe Test
DESCRIPTION:The Marathon Novo mesto Association invites everyone to the event Opening of the Running Season and Running Shoe Test\, which will take place on Sunday\, 8 March 2026\, at Otočec Castle. \nParticipants in this sports and recreational event will have the opportunity to learn about and test running shoes\, while also taking part in a guided road running training session. \nThe training will focus on longer distances\, approximately 10 to 30 kilometres. Runners will be divided into several groups according to pace (7:00/km\, 6:30/km\, 6:00/km\, 5:30/km\, 5:00/km and the fastest group\, the “rockets”)\, allowing for an enjoyable and tailored experience for different levels of fitness. \nFor companions\, parents and anyone who will not be running\, an approximately 1.5-hour walk around the castle area will be organised. \nParticipation in the event is free of charge. The organisers are also preparing a special surprise for girls and women. \nThe event will take place at the gravel car park in front of Otočec Castle\, in case of larger crowds at Hotel Šport Otočec. \nEvent website
