DESCRIPTION:The Novo mesto Development and Education Centre (RIC Novo mesto) invites you to follow the events within the Lifelong Learning Weeks (TVU) 2026\, the most prominent national campaign in the field of education and learning in Slovenia. \nTVU has been running since 1996 and is part of an international movement of learning festivals. At the national level\, the project is guided by the National TVU Committee\, operating under the relevant Ministry of Education. The project\, coordinated by the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education in cooperation with numerous organisations\, institutions\, and individuals across Slovenia and abroad\, highlights the importance of learning in all stages of life and in the various roles an individual assumes—as a person\, employee\, and member of society. \nIn 2026\, events will take place from 8 May to 14 June. DESCRIPTION:Miran Jarc Library Novo Mesto invites you to the Unveiling of a New Leaf of the Growing Book of Novo Mesto\, which will take place on Wednesday\, 10 June 2026\, at 6.00 pm in the Growing Book Park in Novo Mesto. \nThis year’s new leaf of the Growing Book of Novo Mesto is dedicated to Dragotin Kette\, the poet and writer who attended the grammar school in Novo Mesto between 1896 and 1898 and created some of his finest poems during his time there. Although he spent only a short period in the town\, he left an enduring mark on its cultural heritage. He dedicated several poems to Novo Mesto and found poetic inspiration within the town. The poem Prekrasni trg (The Beautiful Square)\, whose opening verses will be inscribed on the new leaf of the Growing Book memorial\, is dedicated to Novo Mesto’s Main Square. \nThe keynote speaker at the ceremony will be Marij Čuk\, President of the Slovene Writers’ Association. \nThe event will be enriched by a musical performance from Andrej Kokot and Boštjan Soklič\, who will perform musical adaptations of Kette’s poetry from the production Let’s Play the Poets: Modernism after Modernism. \nEvent website

The event will once again offer a full day of sporting action\, great energy\, and opportunities for socialising. \nThe tournament will be played according to futsal rules in a 4+1 format. DESCRIPTION:The Amulet D20 group invites you to a Dungeons & Dragons open session titled Stormy Voyage\, which will take place on Saturday\, 20 June 2026 at 16:00 at Goga Bookstore and Café\, Glavni trg\, Novo mesto. \nThe crew has been trapped aboard a ship for three weeks\, where seemingly nothing is happening – only the long wait for arrival at their destination\, although at least another week of sailing still lies ahead. The monotony of everyday life is becoming increasingly exhausting\, and the crew longs for something to break the routine. But storm clouds are gathering on the horizon – do they signal change? \nThe session is suitable for both beginners and experienced players. It is designed for a group of 3 to 5 players at level 3. The event will take place on Saturday\, 20 June 2026\, at 8.30 pm at the LokalPatriot youth club. \nBratva present themselves as a raw and untamed Balkan metal project\, characterised by heavy seven-string guitar riffs and a strong Balkan melodic influence. Their music combines tradition and brutality\, delivering an intense sonic experience designed not as background music\, but as a direct\, physical impact on the listener. \nEdge of Sins is a Slovenian metal band active since 2012\, known for their conceptual approach and socially critical themes. After several line-up changes\, the band reformed at the end of 2025 and is currently preparing a new studio album\, continuing their musical journey in a heavier and more expressive direction. \nGodzilla are the youngest band of the evening\, consisting of teenage musicians presenting themselves as part of the new generation of Slovenian heavy metal.
