DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, 19 June 2026\, the Novo Mesto Student Association (Društvo novomeških študentov) invites everyone to Loko for the traditional Kolektivc event\, celebrating the beginning of summer and the end of the school year. \nThe event will take place at the sports grounds in Loko (Župančičevo sprehajališče 1\, Novo Mesto). The programme will begin at 4:00 pm with sports activities\, including basketball and volleyball tournaments\, while the evening will be dedicated to live music performances. \nThe line-up features DE VU\, MASAYAH and ROTOR MOTOR\, who will provide an exciting and diverse musical programme throughout the evening. \nKolektivc will also be the last opportunity to gather at this location before extensive renovation works begin in the Loko area. \nAdmission is free of charge. The event is open to all visitors aged 16 and over\, while younger attendees are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nEvent website.

SUMMARY:Dance Competition: Young Styles Battle 13
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 20 June 2026\, Young Styles Battle 13\, one of the largest and most established youth breaking events in the Balkans\, will take place in Novo mesto\, organised by Plesni Studio Novo mesto. Following a series of successful editions\, the event returns for its thirteenth year and is once again expected to attract young dancers from Slovenia and abroad. \nThe competition will run from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm at Kočevarjeva 9\, Novo mesto. Participants will compete in the 1 vs 1 Under 14\, 1 vs 1 Open and 3 vs 3 Open categories. A total prize fund of €900 has been allocated for the top competitors\, while all registered participants will receive an official event T-shirt\, a diploma and practical prizes. \nThe judging panel will consist of Manuel “Bboy Alister” from Italy\, Luka “Bboy Lux De Lux” from Croatia and Urkius from the Slovenian crew Bastarts Crew. Music will be provided by DJ Rick Zase from Italy\, while the event will be hosted by Aljaž Rodič – Alphabet. \nYoung Styles Battle aims to encourage the development of breaking culture among young people while providing opportunities for socialising\, exchanging experiences and gaining valuable competition experience. Over the years\, it has established itself as an important gathering for young dancers from across the region and as one of the leading youth urban dance events in the Balkans. \nThe competitor registration fee is €15 and includes an official YSB13 T-shirt. Admission for spectators and accompanying visitors is free of charge. \nSchedule\n11:30 am – Doors open\n11:30 am – Registration\, warm-up and cyphers\n12:30 pm – Qualifying rounds for all categories\n2:00 pm – Lunch break\n3:00 pm – Warm-up and cyphers\n3:30 pm – Top 16 (1 vs 1) and Top 8 (3 vs 3)\n4:30 pm – Top 8 (1 vs 1) and Top 4 (3 vs 3)\n5:30 pm – Top 4 (1 vs 1) and third-place battles\n6:30 pm – Finals in all categories\n6:50 pm – Results announcement and prize-giving ceremony\n7:00 pm – End of event \nEvent website.
