SUMMARY:Rudolfovanje 2026
DESCRIPTION:As part of the celebration of the municipal holiday of the Municipality of Novo mesto\, the Hiking Association Novo mesto is organizing the traditional\, now twelfth\, “Rudolfovanje.” This is a hiking–cycling–cultural event aimed at reviving and bringing back to life the Rudolf Trail.\nThe hiking and cycling route is 40 km long and follows the borders of the former town territory of Rudolfswerth\, as defined by Rudolf IV of Habsburg in the founding charter in 1365.\nThis year’s Rudolfovanje will take place together with the “Sports City” event organized by the Novo mesto Institute.\nYou are invited to join one of the events on April 11\, 2026\, with a joint conclusion at 4:00 PM at the Olympic Center (by the swimming pool) in Češča vas: \nEach participant can choose the option that suits them best: \n\nFull-route hike of the Rudolf Trail\, starting in Češča vas at the Olympic Center. The hike begins at 6:00 AM. Refreshments will be provided along the way\, and transportation will be arranged for anyone who becomes too exhausted. Although the route is technically easy\, its length makes it demanding. Including breaks\, it will take about 10 hours. The highest point reached will be Golušnik at 510 meters\, and the lowest point will be the crossing of the Krka River at Otočec at 160 meters.\nMain (central) hike\, held every year from the covered cutting at Karteljevo\, past the mill in Bezgavec\, to the Olympic Center (green section of the route on the next page). Participants will meet at 11:00 AM in Češča vas by the pool\, from where a bus will take them to the starting point. The hike will be 14 km long\, with a refreshment stop along the way. The difficulty is easy.\nTrekking cycling along the full route\, also starting at the Olympic Center at 11:30 AM. The same route description and characteristics apply to cyclists. The cycling difficulty is rated V1\, S1\, with sections above Luknja and from Golušnik toward Grčevje rated V2 and S2.\n\nActivities will be adapted to participants and weather conditions.\nThe final gathering will take place at the Olympic Center in Češča vas.All hiking and cycling participants will receive a free hot meal. \nPlease register (and cancel if necessary) at: rudolf.cetrti@gmail.com(Associations or organizations are asked to submit a joint list of participants by name no later than April 10\, 2026.)\nWhen registering\, please indicate the event number (1–3) and the list of participants for each event. \nThis year’s Rudolfovanje will take place together with the “Sports City” event organized by the Novo mesto Institute.We thank the Municipality of Novo mesto for its annual support of Rudolfovanje. \nBest hiking regards from the Hiking Association Novo mesto.

SUMMARY:Nature Conservation Excursion - Velika Planina
DESCRIPTION:Dear mountain wardens\, guardians of mountain nature and all members of the Hiking Association Novo mesto\, you are kindly invited to a very interesting nature conservation excursion\, which will take place on Saturday\, 11 April 2026\, with departure at 7:00. The nature conservation excursion is the final excursion for this year’s trainees for mountain wardens. Trainees are exempt from transport costs. There are still 17 seats available on the bus for other participants\, so please hurry with registration. If the bus becomes fully booked\, we will organize additional transport for members of the Hiking Association Novo mesto.With us will be the lecturer of the GS courses\, Prof. Dušan Klenovšek.The activities of the Hiking Association Novo mesto are supported by the Municipality of Novo mesto.\nDEPARTURE: We will gather in front of Planet Tuš in Novo mesto on Saturday\, 11 April 2026\, at 7:00. We will travel along the route: from Novo mesto we will continue through Trebnje towards Ljubljana\, Stahovica and Črnivec\, to the parking area at Rakova Ravan below Gojška Planina.\nACTION: This time we will visit the blooming Mala and Velika Planina. First we will ascend to Gojška Planina\, continue to Mala Planina\, past the Črnuče Hut to the Domžale Hut\, then climb behind it to Mali and Veliki Vršič\, continue towards the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows (time for a snack)\, then on to the foothills of Veliko Gradišče (1666 m – the highest peak of Velika Planina) and then return along the southern ridge to the Domžale Hut. There will also be a ceremonial awarding of certificates and badges to the new GS (and time for a drink\, coffee and something to eat)\, after which we will return to the starting point\, where the bus will pick us up.\nRETURN: The excursion will conclude in the evening hours.\nVGN: We strive not to cause damage in nature (picking flowers\, breaking branches\, etc.) and not to make noise. DESCRIPTION:The Trepetlika Association invites you to a support event for patients\, taking place on Saturday\, 11 April 2026\, at the Supernova Shopping Centre in Novo mesto (Otoška cesta)\, from 10:00 to 12:00. Informational materials will be available at the stand\, and experiences will be shared. The main focus will be on sports\, featuring table tennis\, which is recognized worldwide as an excellent therapy for patients. \nFor 37 years\, the association has provided comprehensive support to people with Parkinson’s disease and other extrapyramidal disorders\, as well as their relatives. Trepetlika works to raise awareness of these conditions\, break down prejudices\, and promote a high quality of life through movement. \nThe event will be held in Slovenian. \nEvent website
