DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the Sustainability Fair\, which will take place on Saturday\, 9 May 2026\, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Museum Gardens of the Dolenjska Museum in Novo mesto. \nThe event is dedicated to promoting a sustainable lifestyle\, encouraging the reuse of materials\, and strengthening the local community through creativity\, exchange\, and social interaction. \nVisitors will be able to take part in a clothing swap\, where they can bring clean and well-preserved garments\, exchange them\, or take items home. All items should be prepared for reuse\, and each visitor may bring up to one bag of clothing. \nThe programme will also include creative workshops for different age groups. Children will be able to participate in the “Colourful Bags” workshop\, where they will create unique tote bags from used clothing. The “Wear Stories\, Not Just Clothes (MORJA Zala)” workshop will focus on upcycling old garments into new\, personalised pieces. There will also be a “Triftarina” workshop with Katarina Zuccato\, offering an introduction to sustainable shopping. \nA pop-up corner will feature Slovenian creators\, including Morja Zala\, Rado Krštinc\, Miha Grulja (Fungalist)\, Andraž Grulja (Stitchuation)\, Špela Malenšek\, Anja Slapničar Ceramics\, Goodwill\, Bekswear\, Anida (Anita Miklavčič) and Gudi studio. \nFood and drinks will be available throughout the day\, contributing to a relaxed social atmosphere. The hike will take place on Saturday\, 23 May 2026\, starting at 8:00 am at the Trška Gora Entry Point. \nRoute description:The hike will begin at 8:00 am at the foot of Trška Gora in Sevno\, near the Centre for Biotechnology and Tourism Grm Novo mesto\, where organised parking is available. The route passes the vineyard house of composer Marjan Kozina\, marking the first stop and a pleasant surprise. The hike continues to Zidanica Teropšič\, where participants will enjoy a warm welcome and a snack. After a short break and taking in views of the Krka River valley and the green Gorjanci hills\, the hike continues to the summit of Trška Gora\, where participants can relax in the shade of the linden trees and enjoy a guided meditation accompanied by the sounds of birds. The hike then descends back to the starting point. \nThe hike is suitable for anyone able to walk gentle slopes. The total route is under 7 km\, with walking taking approximately 2 hours.
