DESCRIPTION:Marathon Novo mesto Association invites you to take part in the Valentine’s Hike\, which will take place on Saturday\, 21st February 2026. \nSTART?At 9:00 a.m. in front of the fire station in Zbure. Participant registration will be open from 8:00 a.m. onwards. \nPARKING?Parking will be organised with the assistance of the Zbure Volunteer Fire Brigade (PGD Zbure)\, who will direct participants in the morning. Coffee\, tea\, and other hot drinks will be available in the fire station (or at Pavle’s Inn)\, so please arrive in good time. \nDISTANCE?The hike is 19 km long with a total elevation gain of 600 m. The route follows paved roads with normal traffic; participants must observe all road traffic regulations. \nROUTE?The hike runs through the vineyard hills of Trščina and Malkovec\, across Zagradska Gora and Velike Poljane\, and back to Zbure\, returning to the starting point. Two official refreshment stops will be organised (Trščina – 6 km and Otavnik – 12 km). We will discuss the various forms it takes\, how it affects the lives of young people\, and what can be done as a society — within different institutions\, projects\, and systemic solutions — at a regional round table entitled Youth Precarious Work – Challenge\, Inevitability or Choice? \nThe regional round table is organised as part of the project Tackling Youth Precariousness through Youth Work and will take place on Thursday\, 19th February 2026\, at 5:00 p.m.\, at the LokalPatriot café in Novo mesto (Rozmanova ulica 21\, Novo mesto). \nThe main purpose of the event is to connect key representatives of institutions that work with young people in various roles — as service providers\, advisers\, youth workers\, employers\, or partners in creating a supportive environment. \nSpecial attention will also be given to working conditions in the cultural sector\, presented by a guest from a well-known music group from the Dolenjska region. \nParticipants in the discussion will include: \n\n\nTatjana Muhič\, representative of the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia (ESS)\, Head of Regional Office III \n\n\nTena Komel and Snježana Logar\, representatives of the student employment agency Mjobs \n\n\nIgor Iljaš\, Secretary of the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) for the regions of Dolenjska\, Bela krajina and Posavje \n\n\nSara Mirt\, MA in Social Work\, professional staff member at the Centre for Social Work specialising in work with adolescents \n\n\nTomaž Zupančič\, self-employed cultural worker\, alternative indie rock musician\, also active as a composer\, producer and instrumentalist \n\n\nAll young people working through student jobs\, as sole traders\, on copyright contracts\, or moving from one project to another are warmly invited to attend. \nEvent website
