The speaker will be Miha Hadl. \nThe accompanying exhibition dedicated to the Novo mesto-born natural scientist Ferdinand Seidl offers insight into his life and work. Seidl established himself as a geologist\, seismologist\, and meteorologist\, and also worked in the fields of botany\, nature conservation\, and sociology. This lecture will focus on his contribution to meteorology\, as he laid the foundations of modern meteorology and climatology in Slovenia. \nThe lecturer\, Miha Hadl\, is a university graduate engineer of meteorology and physics. He has been employed as a physics teacher at the Novo mesto Grammar School since 1982 and is a member of the Slovene Meteorological Society. The event will take place on Thursday\, 23 April 2026\, at 7:00 pm in the Event Atrium. \nHer autobiographical debut\, Obey Your Mother and Don’t Forget Your Father\, offers a brutally honest self-analysis in which she confronts her most painful memories—many of which had been buried so deeply that they required careful reflection and confrontation. The book explores themes such as genetic memory\, childhood experiences and trauma\, and physical\, psychological\, and sexual abuse—topics that demand great courage and distance to bring into the light and begin the process of healing. Written with the pace of a crime novel\, it encourages readers\, through its honesty and bravery\, to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and liberation. \nThe discussion with the author will be led by Carmen L.
