Book Night 2026: Performance Diči, diča!
Mirana Jarca Library Novo mesto invites you to the performance Diči, diča!, taking place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at 6:00 pm in the Event Atrium.
The performance is a collage of children’s poetry by Oton Župančič, presented in a contemporary and fresh musical adaptation. It marks the celebration of Book Night and also serves as an invitation to join the fifth season of the Family Reading Club Journey Among Books, where participants will play with rhymes until October. Let the journey begin!
The story follows a girl alone in her room. She wanders restlessly until she notices a green string hanging from her toy box. At the end of the string is a small wooden horse. Suddenly, the horse begins to rock on its own, and the green string draws a mysterious, magical landscape on the wall. The girl discovers more and more objects and toys that come to life within the line-drawn world on the wall.
The event will be held in Slovene.
