Opening of the Exhibition by Marinko Polović: Covers
The Miran Jarc Library Novo mesto invites you to the opening of the photography exhibition by Marinko Polović, Covers, which opens a space where two seemingly quiet yet remarkably powerful art forms—literature and photography—meet. Set within the library environment, where words find their readers every day, the exhibition explores how stories can be translated into a visual language and how book covers can become a starting point for new, original interpretations.
Marinko Polović graduated in Philosophy and Religious Culture from the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, and in Library Science from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Since 2007, he has been employed at the City Library “Ivan Goran Kovačić” in Karlovac, where he leads various workshops in the fields of information technology and photography. He devotes most of his free time to searching for ideal photographic motifs.
The event will take place on Thursday, 14 May 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Events Atrium.
