The Untold Story of Cviček is a boutique guided experience on Trška Gora, where guests do not simply taste cviček – they discover it through the vineyard, the wine cottage, the local table, the cellar and their very own bottle of “Cviček to-go”.

The experience begins with the legendary red Cviček-mobil, a vintage vehicle made in Novo mesto, turning a simple transfer into the first chapter of the story. From there, the journey leads into the vineyards of Trška Gora, one of the most distinctive wine-growing landscapes in the Dolenjska region.

The first stop is the vineyard, where guests learn that cviček is not just a wine in a glass. It is the result of land, grape varieties, weather, work and people who still live this tradition today. The vineyard activity changes with the season, which makes the experience different throughout the year.

The journey continues to Vineyard Cottage Verček, where guests are welcomed by Godmother Jožefina. Warm, genuine and far from a staged tourist setting, the atmosphere feels almost like visiting a Dolenjska grandmother. Around the local table, with homemade food and relaxed conversation, guests discover why vineyard cottages are such an important part of life in this region.

The final part takes place at Škatlar Estate, in the wine laboratory – or, as locals would say, the cellar. Guests learn about the grape varieties that shape cviček, taste them, blend their own version, bottle it and label it with a personal label. Each guest takes home their own “Cviček to-go” – not a typical souvenir, but something they created themselves.
