Lecture: Prim. Milivoj Piletič – Diabetes Mellitus

The Miran Jarc Library, in cooperation with the Croatian Cultural Association Novo mesto (HKU), invites you to a lecture by Prim. Milivoj Piletič, MD, specialist in internal medicine, on diabetes mellitus, which will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, at 6 pm in the Event Atrium.
Some have called diabetes “the plague of the 21st century”, as it is a global epidemic. This perhaps leading civilisational disease of today can in some cases be genetically determined, but it is most often caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, in particular poor diet, lack of physical activity and stress. It therefore requires a great deal of self-discipline and a change in lifestyle.
