Novo Mesto Summer Evenings: Between Crime Fiction, Music and Comics
As part of the Novomeški poletni večeri (Novo mesto Summer Evenings) festival, Goga Publishing House invites you to a literary evening and concert Between Crime Fiction, Music and Comics, taking place on Thursday, 16 July 2026, at 8.00 pm.
BETWEEN CRIME FICTION, MUSIC AND COMICS; TADEJ GOLOB, VLADO KRESLIN AND CIRIL HORJAK / LITERARY EVENING & CONCERT
Vlado Kreslin, Tadej Golob and Ciril Horjak. A man from Prekmurje, a Štajerec and a Korošec. A musician, a writer and a comic artist. Three different creative paths that meet in Ljubljana.
The capital has always been a meeting point for stories, talents and ideas from all corners of Slovenia. The three artists, who have each left a significant mark on contemporary Slovenian culture in their own way, will talk about how the places they come from have shaped them and how the city where they create has influenced their work.
The literary evening will conclude with a concert by Vlado Kreslin at 9.00 pm.
The event will take place at the festival venue on Glavni trg, in front of Goga Bookshop.
Novomeški poletni večeri (Novo mesto Summer Evenings)
In July and August, Novo mesto welcomes leading Slovenian writers, poets and musicians. Alongside literary themes, the festival also explores broader social issues. Through Novomeški poletni večeri, Goga brings a vibrant cultural programme to the city. Each book, each conversation with authors and each encounter with literature is a celebration of Slovenian books, the richness of language and thoughtful ideas.
