Painting Colony: Views of Novo mesto
The Mavrica Novo mesto Fine Arts and Cultural Society invites you to the open-air painting colony Views of Novo mesto, taking place on Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Glavni trg, the main square in Novo mesto.
The central theme of this year’s event is panoramic views of Novo mesto through the four seasons.
The event brings together fellow artists from across Slovenia, as well as schoolchildren and preschool children, encouraging creativity and artistic expression in the heart of the town.
The artworks created during the event will later be presented in a group exhibition in Novo mesto, accompanied by a cultural programme and a renewed invitation to participating artists and the general public.
Over the years, the event has become very popular among local residents, visitors from the surrounding area, artists and tourists alike. This year marks its 19th edition.
