Literary Event: Eva Šubic – Darkness Is Inherited from the Father
The Miran Jarc Library Novo mesto invites you to an evening with Eva Šubic, taking place on Friday, 15 May 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Trdina Reading Room.
Darkness Is Inherited from the Father (published by Črna skrinjica) is the debut poetry collection by Eva Šubic (b. 2002), a native of Novo mesto and a medical student. The conversation with the author will explore poetry, the creation of the collection, editing, chickens, and everything in between. The discussion will be led by her editor, Dejan Koban, who writes in the accompanying text: “Such is the darkness inherited from the father. It knows no compromise. It dislikes uniformity. It cannot تحمل indecision.”
