On 8 March: Guided tour of the “Forgotten Half of Novo mesto” walking trail
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Forgotten Half of Novo mesto collective invites you to a special guided tour of the Forgotten Half of Novo mesto walking trail, led by guide Meta Kocjan, marking the 10th anniversary of the collective’s work.
The walk through the streets of Novo mesto will take place on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 2 pm, starting in front of the Town Hall on Glavni trg. It will offer insight into history through the lens of women who significantly shaped the city’s development but were often overlooked in historical records.
Participants will explore together the inspiring stories of the protagonists who, through their work, courage and creativity, left a lasting mark on the local community.
The event is free of charge and no registration is required.
The tour will be conducted in Slovenian.
