Gas na Gače 2026

RTC Gače once again invites visitors to the trail running experience Gas na Gače, set in the heart of the Kočevski Rog forests, taking place on Saturday, 4 July 2026, in Gače above Črmošnjice. The event combines sport, recreation, nature, and an authentic experience of the Kočevski Rog region, and is intended for experienced runners, hikers, and the youngest visitors alike.

The main event is a 15-kilometre trail run with 700 metres of elevation gain, leading participants along diverse forest trails and through the scenic landscape surrounding Gače. In addition to the trail run, the programme also includes a guided hike and children’s races.

The event is part of the Bela krajina Cup, which connects sports and recreational events throughout the Bela krajina region.

Event Schedule:

• 8.00 am – Start of the hike
• 9.00 am – Start of the trail run (15 km / 700 m+)
• 10.00 am – Children’s races
• 11.30 am – Announcement of results and prize-giving ceremony
