Jazz Evening: Vid Bavcon Quartet
LokalPatriot invites visitors to a jazz evening featuring the Vid Bavcon Quartet, which will take place on Friday, 12 June 2026, at 8.30 pm at the LokalPatriot café.
If the weather is fine, the concert will be held outdoors on the terrace; in case of rain, it will take place inside the LokalPatriot café.
The Vid Bavcon Quartet is a contemporary Slovenian jazz ensemble led by trumpeter and composer Vid Bavcon. The group consists of four distinctive young musicians united by a deep respect for the jazz tradition and a shared desire to explore the expressive possibilities of contemporary jazz.
The quartet performs mainly original compositions inspired by the rich heritage of jazz, while incorporating a modern harmonic language, open improvisation, and collective musical interaction. Their music combines lyricism, rhythmic energy, and spontaneous musical communication, creating a sound that is both rooted in tradition and oriented towards the future.
The musicians are Vid Bavcon (trumpet), Aljoša Kavčič (piano), Marko Momčilović (double bass), and Tijan Grašič (drums).
