RE:MISIJA – Concert of the Krka Wind Orchestra at Grm Castle
The Krka Wind Orchestra invites you to a special concert titled RE:MISIJA, which will take place on Saturday, 27 June 2026 at 20:00 at Grm Castle. The concert will be conducted by Matevž Novak.
The soloists will be Marko Jenič (trumpet), Blaž Avbar (trumpet), Matej Rihter (trumpet), and Edita Miklič (vocals).
Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana (Department for the Treatment of Malignant Lymphomas).
Life sometimes unexpectedly brings us to a halt and places us in situations we do not choose. In such moments, we come to realise that impermanence is not the opposite of life, but rather its deepest value.
This concert under the starry sky at Grm Castle was inspired by long-time orchestra member and trumpeter Marko Jenič, who was diagnosed with lymphoma. The illness temporarily interrupted his musical and teaching career, but after a demanding treatment process he now looks ahead with hope and renewed strength. His experience highlights that healthcare is not only systems and numbers, but above all people who stand by patients in their most difficult moments. His story reminds us that health is one of life’s greatest values, often taken for granted.
Through this concert, the orchestra wishes to express gratitude, support, and solidarity, and to contribute where help means hope, faster diagnosis, and better chances for all who face similar challenges.

In case of rain, the concert will take place on Sunday, 28 June 2026 at 20:00.
