19th ECO Fair in Novo Mesto
On Saturday, 14 November 2026, Glavni trg in Novo Mesto will once again celebrate organically produced food. The Association for Organic Farming of Dolenjska, Posavje and Bela krajina is organising the 19th ECO Fair, bringing together organic farmers and producers from Dolenjska, Posavje, Bela krajina and other Slovenian regions.
At the stalls hosted by numerous organic farms, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and purchase a wide variety of organic produce and products directly from the growers and producers. The event will also feature tastings, live music, folk performances and a friendly social atmosphere.
Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of organically produced food and its impact on health, the environment and sustainable development. At 9 am, a lecture entitled Why Choose Organic Food? will take place at the Janez Trdina Cultural Centre – Situla, delivered by Dr Martina Bavec. The official opening of the event will follow at 10 am, with an address by Marija Marinček, President of the Association for Organic Farming of Dolenjska, Posavje and Bela krajina.
The ECO Fair offers an opportunity to meet organic producers, discover their products and good organic farming practices, and learn more about the importance of high-quality, locally sourced and sustainably produced food.
The event is organised by the Association for Organic Farming of Dolenjska, Posavje and Bela krajina in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Slovenian Association of Organic Farmers. It is supported financially by the European Union and the Republic of Slovenia.
