30th Traditional “With Cviček Through the Vineyards” Hike
The Otočec Tourist Association (TD Otočec) invites you to the 30th “With Cviček Through the Vineyards” hike. All lovers of nature, socialising, recreation and good food are warmly welcome.
The gathering will take place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at 8:00 am at Otočec Primary School (OŠ Otočec). The event will also be attended by the Bela Cerkev Wind Orchestra, the Mayor of the City Municipality of Novo mesto Mr Gregor Macedoni, the President of the Slovenian Tourist Board Mr Dominik S. Černjak, and the President of the Otočec Local Community Mr Andrej Novak. The hike will officially start at 9:00 am.
Along the route through the wine-growing hills of Grčevje and Trška Gora, there will be 10 stops hosted by local associations and residents, who will open the doors of their wine cottages especially for you. You will be treated to hot and cold drinks, as well as tastings of homemade bread, cured meats and pastries. At the finish, a hot meal and live music by the band Zaplet will follow, ensuring a warm and lively atmosphere.
The route is approximately 17 km long, and the hike with the accompanying programme will last 6–8 hours. Parking is provided. Participants are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing. The hike will take place in all weather conditions and at participants’ own risk. To mark the anniversary edition, a special surprise awaits all hikers.
The participation fee is €20 and includes:
– tasting glass with the hike logo,
– pouch for carrying the glass with the hike logo,
– hike leaflet,
– five drink vouchers,
– hot meal.
