81st Anniversary of the End of the Second World War: A Talk with Ilinka Todorovski
The Dolenjski Museum Novo mesto and the Military Museum of the Slovenian Armed Forces invite you, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the end of the Second World War, to a talk with Ilinka Todorovski, author of the book By Air Bridge from Bela krajina to Dalmatia: The Evacuation of Civilians in March 1945.
The talk will take place at the Dolenjski Museum on Friday, 8 May 2026, at 7 pm. The author will be in conversation with historian Blaž Štangelj.
The book, which explores the largest Allied operation on Slovenian territory during the Second World War, is presented here in its second, expanded edition, including the stories of evacuated families from the Dolenjska region. At the event, descendants of one of these families will share their memories.
Admission is free. The talk will be held in Slovenian.
