Closing Event of the Women’s Reading Club
The Miran Jarc Library invites you to the Closing Event of the Women’s Reading Club, which will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, at 5.30 pm in the Trdina Reading Room.
The guest of the evening will be Erica Johnson Debeljak, author of the book Virgin, Queen, Widow, Bitch, the final title on this year’s reading list. The discussion will touch on the themes explored in the book – relationships, loss, identity, social expectations and personal turning points – as well as the author’s creative process and her perspective on the contemporary female experience.
The end of the season will provide an opportunity for a pleasant conversation, the exchange of reading impressions and socialising in good company.
The discussion will be moderated by Manca Čampa Pavlin.
The event is also open to the general public and will be held in Slovenian.
