Commemorative Exhibition Marking the 170th Anniversary of Prof. Ferdinand Seidl

On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Ferdinand Seidl (1856–1942) – a native of Novo mesto, natural scientist and academic – the Dolenjska Museum invites you to a commemorative evening and the opening of an exhibition, which will take place on Monday, 9 March 2026, at 5:00 pm in the lecture room of the Dolenjska Museum.
The following speakers will take part in the event:
* Marjeta Bregar: Biographical Sketches of Prof. Seidl
* Andrej Hudoklin: The First Modern Slovene Natural Scientist and the Dolenjska Region
* Tone Andrejčič: Ferdinand Seidl and the Novo mesto Mountaineering Society
The exhibition will be on view until 24 May 2026.
