Hike for Happy Paws 2026 and Picnic Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of DZZŽ Novo mesto
The Animal Protection Society Novo mesto invites you to the charitable Hike for Happy Paws and picnic, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the society, taking place on Saturday, 4 April 2026, at 10:00.
The event is held under the slogan: “For happy paws, claws, and paws – we take steps together” – celebrating 25 years! On World Stray Animals Day, the organizers invite everyone to join in the celebration and social gathering.
Participants will meet on the first Saturday in April at 10:00 at the parking lot Ob Težki vodi (next to the Pulmonary Hospital and Julija’s Footbridge). The hike or walk will last approximately one hour, with the group reaching the finish around 12:00 at the playground by the local venue in Regrča vas, where the following will be available:

Picnic with treats from Crusty Kitchen

Circus entertainment for children and the young at heart

Socialising and “ear canal massage”
Participation in the hike is optional, as visitors are welcome to join directly at the finish. Charitable merchandise will also be available, including T-shirts for happy paws, cat bags, and some new items.
The recommended contribution for registration is €10.
