Hike: Pugled (564 m) on Easter Monday

The Hiking Society Novo mesto invites you to join a hike to Pugled on Easter Monday, 6 March 2026.
Pugled, a peak on the edge of the Kočevski Rog plateau, is just right for a walk after the Easter weekend and all the treats we may have overindulged in. You are warmly invited to join this easy hike with a touch of history. The Kočevje Trail also runs across Pugled, as does the popular “In the Bear’s Footsteps” hiking route.
For residents of Novo mesto, it may be interesting to note that the poet and writer Miran Jarc (born 1900), who spent part of his life in Novo mesto, died on Pugled in 1942.
Our hikes are also supported by the Municipality of Novo mesto.
Departure is at 8:00 a.m. from in front of Bršljin Primary School.
