Hike: Tosc (2275 m)
The Novo mesto Hiking Society invites participants to a hike to Tosc, which will take place on Sunday, 10 May 2026, with departure at 6.00 am from Bršljin Primary School in Novo mesto.
Route description:
This hike will start in front of the military barracks at Rudno Polje. The route will partly follow a marked trail leading towards Triglav. Initially, the path leads through the forest above the Konjščica pasture up to Jezerce. From there, the ascent continues to the Studor Saddle, and the route proceeds towards Vodnik Lodge. Shortly after, hikers will reach a junction where they turn right towards the summit; from this point onwards, the trail is unmarked.
A steep ascent leads to the ridge of Tosc, and only a short walk across a grassy slope remains to reach the summit itself. On the descent, the group will also visit the Konjščica pasture. The hike will take approximately 7 hours of walking time, with a total elevation gain of just over 900 metres.
