Lecture: Ana Tisov – Kenya

Knjižnica Mirana Jarca Novo mesto invites you to a lecture by Ana Tisov titled Kenya, which will take place on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at 6:00 pm in the Events Atrium.
Ana Tisov spent three months in Kenya. She first volunteered at the ELA Centre near Mount Kenya, then in Nairobi, and finally on the remote Wasini Island. There she connected with local people and truly began to understand what ubuntu means in practice: “I am because we are.”
Voluntary donations will also be collected, and all contributions will go directly to supporting the community on Wasini Island (an orphanage and support for the education of a local student), with whom Ana formed a close connection.
