(N)Orchestra – a Concert of (Un)Serious Music
You are warmly invited to a musical-theatrical spectacle (N)Orchestra – a Concert of (Un)Serious Music ((N)orkester – koncert (ne)resne glasbe) in which musical virtuosos perform (un)serious music with utmost seriousness. The event will take place on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, at 7.30 pm in the Trdinova Hall at the KCJT Cultural Centre.
Seasoned musical virtuosos and exceptionally serious soloists will play everything they can fit into two cars: from clarinet, singing saw, pocket trumpet, trombone, accordion, flute, a reconstruction of a Neanderthal flute, jaw harp, melodica, drums, keyboard, guitar, double bass, banjo, bells, rubber piglets, tambourine, triple ocarina, pistol and megaphone, all the way to the mandolin. They will also play human heads, an armpit and a piano. But that is not all – they also bring along numerous instruments without Slovenian names, such as the toy piano, theremin, maracas, kalimba, cajón, matryomin and pandeiro.
Their performance does not only include arrangements of works by the greatest composers in the world, but also takes the audience on a journey through the history of music, from Neanderthals to the present day.
The event is performed in the Slovenian language.
