Novo Mesto Summer Evenings: Loveliness
As part of the Novo Mesto Summer Evenings festival, Goga Publishing House invites you to the discussion evening Loveliness, taking place on Monday, 17 August 2026, at 8.00 pm.

Cat videos, plush toys, K-pop stars and adorable internet characters. Cuteness is everywhere, and it seems almost impossible to resist.
But that is precisely why it is worth asking whether it is really as innocent as it appears. Can cuteness, alongside feelings of delight and tenderness, also encourage obedience, a sense of belonging, or even serve as a tool of propaganda? Aljoša Pužar, Primož Krašovec and Liu Zakrajšek will discuss what lies behind these charming images.
The event will take place at the festival venue in the Main Square, in front of Goga Bookshop.
NOVO MESTO SUMMER EVENINGS
Throughout July and August, Novo Mesto welcomes some of Slovenia’s leading writers, poets and musicians. Alongside literature, the festival also explores wider social issues.
