Novo Mesto Summer Evenings: The Magical Birthday
As part of the Novo Mesto Summer Evenings festival, Goga Publishing House invites you to a children’s puppet performance taking place on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at 10.00 am.
THE MAGICAL BIRTHDAY; ČAROVNIŠKI BLUES, ZAVOD GAMAYUNA / PUPPET PERFORMANCE
This interactive performance tells the story of an event that is especially dear to children—a birthday party! It follows a girl who wants to organise a celebration of her own, but soon finds herself facing difficulties. Through her kind-hearted actions in the nearby forest, she gains the support of magical creatures who, in return, help her create a truly magical celebration.
The children in the audience take part throughout the performance. The show teaches children that, through kindness and cooperation, each and every one of us can help create a better world.
The event will take place at the festival venue in the Main Square, in front of Goga Bookshop.
NOVO MESTO SUMMER EVENINGS
Throughout July and August, Novo Mesto welcomes some of Slovenia’s leading writers, poets and musicians. Alongside literature, the festival also explores wider social issues. With Novo Mesto Summer Evenings, Goga brings a vibrant programme of cultural events to the town. Every book, every conversation with authors, is a celebration of Slovenian literature, the written word and the power of ideas.
