POLETnice 2026
The Miran Jarc Library Novo Mesto invites children to join the Youth Department for a week of fun and creative activities. POLETnice 2026 will take place from Monday, 6 July, to Friday, 10 July 2026.

PROGRAMME
Monday, 6 July 2026, at 10.00 am | Reading and Playing with Winner
- Reading a story to Winner the dog.
- Meeting and playing with the dog.
- Suitable for children aged 7 and over.
Tuesday, 7 July 2026, from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon | Making a Wooden Boat
- Creating a wooden boat for decoration or play.
- Suitable for children aged 7 and over.
Wednesday, 8 July 2026, from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon | Textile Book Bag
- Making a textile book bag featuring a motif from a favourite picture book.
- Suitable for children aged 7 and over.
Thursday, 9 July, and Friday, 10 July 2026, from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon | LEGO – Storytelling
- Creating an original story using LEGO bricks.
- Presenting the story as a comic strip with the help of the Story Visualiser application (using a tablet or laptop).
- Suitable for children aged 7 and over.
PLAYROOM
Parents and children are invited to spend relaxing summer hours together in the Story Room and Playroom, playing board games, reading books, enjoying toys and perhaps creating something special together.
Open throughout July and August, Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon.
