Novo Mesto Carnival
This year, we will chase away winter on Valentine’s Day, 14 February.
The Novo mesto Institute, under the slogan “za pusta hrusta”, is organising a lively Carnival celebration, which will take place according to the following schedule:
10:00–10:45 | Gathering of all masked participants for the Carnival parade at the Loka football pitch, with dance animation by PSNM
10:45–11:00 | CARNIVAL PARADE along Župančič Promenade towards the Main Square, led by the Novo mesto majorettes and the Novo mesto Town Band
11:00–13:00 | PROGRAMME on the Main Square:
* animation programme by Plesni Studio Novo mesto,
* NAJ KROF (Best Doughnut) competition,
* NAJ MASKA (Best Costume) competition with attractive prizes.
CARNIVAL TREAT: all masked participants will receive a Carnival doughnut.
NAJ KROF 2026: Master bakers, it’s time to show your skills!
An expert jury will carefully judge the appearance and taste of the doughnuts.
The winner will be announced on the day of the event on the main stage.
