Slovenian Armed Forces Day 2026
You are cordially invited to the Slovenian Armed Forces Day, which will take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026, in Novo mesto.
More than three decades ago, on 15 May 1991, the training of the first generation of conscripts in Slovenia’s history began. It is a day written in golden letters in Slovenian military history and in the memory of its servicewomen and servicemen. From Ljubljana’s Stožice, Maribor’s Tabor Hall, and Koper’s Bonifika, this year’s celebration is moving to Novo mesto.
Between 10:00 and 17:00, you will be able to view presentations of equipment and operations at the Main Square. Dynamic demonstrations will take place at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 by the Kandija Bridge, and the evening will conclude with a ceremonial event and concert at Marof Hall.
All activities are free of charge – just come along and experience a day with the Slovenian Armed Forces. It promises to be an engaging event!
