Slovenian Armed Forces Day 2026
You are invited to the Slovenian Armed Forces Day, which will take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026, in Novo mesto.
More than three decades ago, on 15 May 1991, the training of the first generation of conscripts in Slovenia’s history began. This day is written in golden letters in Slovenian military history and remains in the memory of its service members. This year, the celebration moves from Ljubljana’s Stožice, Maribor’s Tabor Hall, and Koper’s Bonifika to Novo mesto, specifically to Marof Hall.
A varied programme will begin in the town centre already in the morning. The Slovenian Armed Forces will present their equipment, as well as the knowledge and skills of their members, through engaging demonstrations. All activities are free of charge – just come and experience a day with the Slovenian Armed Forces. It promises to be an exciting event!
