Storytelling Evening: Reku Reku: Between Shamans and Gourmets
Goga Publishing House invites you to the storytelling evening Reku Reku: Between Shamans and Gourmets, which will take place on Friday, 20 February 2026, from 7.00 to 8.30 pm at Goga Bookstore and Café in Novo mesto.
“For every illness, a flower grows – but who knows all these flowers?” Was Aunt Pehta right? Have you ever followed a “home remedy” to cure a cold? Drunk some disgusting potion pushed under your nose by your grandmother? Fallen for a superstition to clear your sinuses or get rid of wrinkles? Discovered new ways to feel better? You are invited to the new Reku Reku, where we can share and explore life’s little complications together, swapping both funny and touching stories.
As always, participants can register to secure a chance to reach the Reku Reku finale next summer.
About Reku Reku
Reku Reku storytelling evenings take place every month, and the audience decides who tells the best story. The winner also receives a prize, naturally a book. Using all available means of direct democracy, the best story is voted on by everyone present.
You are invited to an evening full of energy, storytelling, laughter, and direct democracy.
A spot on stage can be reserved by registering at: knjigarnagoga@goga.si, or you can simply arrive and decide to perform 15 minutes before the event begins.
