Visiting Novo mesto: MOST of Novo mesto & Crikvenica
Zavod Situla and the Crikvenica Tourist Board invite you to a full-day event, MOST of Novo mesto & Crikvenica, taking place on Saturday, 18 April 2026, at Glavni trg in Novo mesto.
The event represents a cross-border meeting of two towns that, through history, culture, and gastronomy, build a bridge between past and present, and between people, cultures, and flavours. This year’s programme will once again bring together the highlights and unique features of both towns, offering insight into their rich cultural and culinary heritage.
PROGRAMME:
10:00 – Opening ceremony and addresses by the mayors
10:00–13:00 – Market
- offer of local producers,
- wine tasting by local winemakers from Novo mesto and Crikvenica, along with a presentation of the Sveta Lucija olive growers from Crikvenica,
- tasting of traditional Croatian batuda and Slovenian ričet,
- live music by Trio Rikverc,
- performance by the Kres Folklore Group,
- demonstration of the traditional practice of straw threshing.
13:00–15:00 – Break
15:00–18:00 – Market
- offer of local producers,
- performance by the Pomlad Mixed Choir,
- presentation of the Crikvenica traditional costume,
- tasting of authentic Crikvenica desserts,
- concert by Klapa Sv. Jakov, Jadranovo.
The MOST project is an opportunity to connect, build new friendships, and showcase the cultural and gastronomic heritage of cross-border regions.
