Novo mesto is once again actively participating in the Alpe-Adria Fair, the largest tourism fair in the region, taking place from Wednesday to Saturday (4–7 February 2026) at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. The fair brings together key tourism stakeholders, destinations and experience providers, offering inspiring ideas for holidays, active experiences and discovering cultural heritage.
Novo mesto is featured at two exhibition spaces in the Marble Hall. At the exhibition area of the Slovenian Tourist Board and Historic Towns of Slovenia, local providers from Novo mesto showcase heritage- and gastronomy-related offerings. Among them is the IMV Museum Collection, which on Wednesday, the opening day of the fair, introduces visitors to the history of the Industry of Motor Vehicles (IMV) in Novo mesto and the development of the automotive and economic heritage of the Dolenjska region.
On Thursday, members of TKD Trškogorsko srce present Pušelšank at Godmother Jožefina’s along with traditional Dolenjska cuisine. The same day also features a presentation of the experience The Secret Story of Cviček, taking participants through the wine-growing hills of Trška gora and Grčevje aboard the special Cviček Mobile.
On Friday, Bistro Situla delights visitors with its offer, preparing a Dolenjska Lunch between 10:00 and 14:30 — an animated tasting of local cuisine inspired by the town’s history. On the final day of the fair, visitors are inspired by beekeeper Andreja Stankovič from the Čebela Institute with the Honey Experience, which became part of Unique Experiences of Slovenia in 2025 and received the Sejalec Award.
The second exhibition space is Visit Dolenjska, where participation is coordinated by the Development Centre Novo mesto. Together with the municipalities of Dolenjske Toplice, Šmarješke Toplice and Trebnje, Novo mesto is also presented. TIC Novo mesto, cycling guides and the Ravbar Cycling Hotel invite visitors to Novo mesto with a focus on active tourism, outdoor activities — especially cycling — and authentic experiences.
