Start at Molet House in Šmarjeta and continue along the designated cycling path to Šmarješke Toplice. There, turn right; the route leads along the Crystal Valley and through small hamlets to the junction for Herinja vas and Otočec. Turn left toward Otočec and descend pleasantly through a small forest to the village.
In Otočec turn left past the cemetery onto the shared pedestrian-cycling route leading to the cycling path toward Otočec Castle. Cross the wooden bridge by the castle, then a second wooden bridge. At the end of the bridge, turn left into a climb that becomes quite steep toward the top. At the summit, turn left toward Struga Castle. Return the same way to the intersection where you previously turned for the castle, but this time continue left on the main road toward Šentjernej.
In Dolenje Mokro Polje turn right toward Cerov Log. The road passes the Gracar Turn manor and through the village of Hrastje, then continues on the main road to Orehovica. In Orehovica turn left toward Gorenji Maharovec, and at the end of the village, after 300 meters, turn right toward Dolnji Maharovec. The route leads through Dolenji Maharovec, Gorenja Gomila, and to Draga.
In Draga head under the underpass beneath the motorway, then after 20 meters turn left toward Bela Cerkev and continue through Sela to Družinska vas. Two short, easy climbs follow. In Družinska vas turn right and continue through Strelec to Šmarjeta. At the roundabout, turn right and finish at the starting point—Molet House.
