The Krka River is also highly valued among anglers, as its fish population is abundant and diverse. There are three fishing areas on the Krka: the first is a salmonid fishing area, inhabited by brown trout and rainbow trout. The second area is a mixed salmonid–cyprinid zone. Its salmonid species include brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, and huchen; among the cyprinids, the most numerous are bleak, nase, barbel, chub, carp, tench, and pike. The third area is a cyprinid zone, where the most common species are bleak, nase, barbel, chub, carp, tench, spirlin, silver bream, roach, rudd, and among the predatory fish, pike, catfish, asp, and huchen.
