From the City to Ragov Log

A pleasant walk that leads us from the city center into the embrace of the forest in just a few minutes. The path takes us across the Main Square, through the back streets of the old town, and past the Novo mesto courthouse to the wooden footbridge over the Krka River, which brings us into the Ragov Log Wood. Inside, well-maintained walking paths rise above the Krka River and offer beautiful views of the Breg on the opposite bank, where one can also admire the gardens of the Franciscan Monastery – otherwise hidden from the public eye behind high walls. We leave the forest in the settlement of Ragovo, then return to ti again from the other side via Ragovska Street, and finally walk back to the starting point across the same footbridge.
