Julija’s Footpath

Julija’s Foothpath is a relatively new walking path named after the well-known Novo mesto resident and muse of France Prešeren, Julija Primic (married von Scheuchenstuel), who is buried in Šmihel. The promenade begins at Julija’s Footbridge, between the mouth of the Težka Voda stream and the Krka River, and the Neuhof Manor (Novi Dvor), where Julija spent the final period of her life. The footpath leads from Julija’s Footbridge along the Krka River, past Neuhof Manor and the Kandija Bridge, all the way to the Portoval sports and recreation park.
