The trail is considered a difficult one, as you have to climb the Trška gora hill (418 m above sea level) and go around it. It is not a long route, but there are many climbs that require a certain amount of cycling endurance. You start in Novo mesto and cycle along the Krka River towards the village of Otočec, where you begin your ascent to Trška gora while enjoying a beautiful view of Stari grad Castle. The trail leads along the ridge towards Hmeljnik Castle, where you turn around and head back through the villages of Srednje Grčevje, Paha and Herinja vas. You then descend towards the Krka River and ride alongside it towards Novo mesto.
