From 10 to 19 April 2026, the Week of Slovenian Tourist Farms will take place across Slovenia. Organised by the Association of Farm Tourism of Slovenia, the event is being held for the third consecutive year with the aim of promoting rural tourism and authentic experiences at tourist farms.
Tourist farms throughout Slovenia have prepared a diverse programme of activities and experiences. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as horse riding, feeding animals, guided walks, exploring energy trails, and carriage rides. The programme also includes culinary delights, tastings of local specialities, traditional craft workshops, and the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
From Novo mesto, Šeruga Homestead and Matjaž Homestead are joining this year’s Week of Slovenian Tourist Farms.
Šeruga Homestead in Sela (near Ratež) offers one-day getaways with the option to relax in a private sauna, enjoy premium massages, and taste organic local delicacies. Those seeking a more active break can explore the surrounding nature by bike and, in the evening, indulge in culinary experiences.
Matjaž Homestead in Paha above Otočec offers cviček wine tastings and a unique two-day getaway with the Love & Wellness & Wine Escape package in an idyllic vineyard setting, where guests can enjoy peace, nature, and relaxation. In addition to an overnight stay in a traditional Dolenjska vineyard cottage (zidanica), the package includes an exclusive tasting of nine wines accompanied by a homemade cold cuts platter, as well as an introduction to the history and tradition of cviček.
