Workshop: HORECA DIGI – How to eliminate manual work and reduce operational costs through digitalisation

As part of the Transformator programme, the organisers invite you to the HORECA DIGI workshop titled How to eliminate manual work and reduce operational costs through digitalisation in hospitality or tourism businesses.
The workshop will take place in person on Thursday, 7 May 2026, from 17:00 to 19:00 in the meeting room of Zavod Novo mesto (KCJT building), or online via Zoom.
Managing a modern hospitality or tourism business without accurate data presents unnecessary risk and may lead to profit loss. Participants who are still facing a high share of manual work, lack of transparency in resource consumption, and limited control over processes will gain practical insights into effective digital solutions at this expert session within the Transformator programme.
Rather than focusing on general theory, the workshop addresses practical approaches to key business challenges:
• Digitalisation and automation: using technology to reduce manual work and minimise human error.
• Data-driven management: effective monitoring of resource consumption and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Value chain optimisation: improving collaboration between providers and suppliers while reducing losses on both sides.
• Modern operational technologies: the role of advanced tools in enhancing services and managing the entire business ecosystem.
A special expert segment will focus on energy and cost optimisation. Guest speaker Tina Štrukelj (Infinite Pure Solutions) will present how small and medium-sized tourism enterprises can reduce costs by monitoring the time dynamics of energy consumption. A digital tool for independent data analysis and process optimisation (e.g. washing, heating, cooling) based on hourly electricity prices will be introduced, enabling active cost management instead of passive bill payment.
The session will also present the conditions for obtaining a €3,000 grant, intended for in-depth planning of business resilience measures in the autumn term.
The business workshop is intended for operations managers, as well as their key partners and suppliers, as digital efficiency is reflected across the entire value chain.
Participation is free of charge; however, the number of places is limited.
Applications are available via the link.
