Concert: Jazzinty Festival – Jonathan Kreisberg Trio
Zavod Novo mesto and LokalPatriot invite you to a concert by the Jonathan Kreisberg Trio, taking place as part of the 26th International Jazzinty Festival on Friday, 21 August 2026, at 9 pm in the Park rastoče knjige (Growing Book Park) in Novo mesto.
Renowned American jazz guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg, who is also one of the mentors of Jazzinty 2026, will perform in a top-class trio featuring the exceptional Slovenian pianist and organist Marko Črnčec (Marko Churnchetz) on the Hammond organ, alongside outstanding drummer Colin Stranahan.
Throughout his long and successful career, Kreisberg has become known for his modern approach to harmony and melody. In this unique format, he creates a powerful, organic dialogue between the musicians. Audiences can look forward to an exceptional evening of contemporary jazz, where a deep understanding of tradition intertwines with astonishing technical mastery and the passionate improvisation of three virtuosos.
For more than two decades, the International Jazzinty Festival has been bringing top jazz performers, young musical talents and unique musical experiences to Novo mesto. This year’s edition will once again place the town on the map of important jazz gatherings, with the Jonathan Kreisberg Trio concert set to be one of the festival’s highlights.
