Blessing and Fair at Trška Gora for the Feast of the Nativity of Mary

You are invited to Trška Gora for the traditional blessing ceremony and fair marking the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, taking place on Saturday, 5 September 2026.

This year again, the Trško Gorsko Srce Tourist and Cultural Association invites you to the fair, featuring stalls with local produce, handmade products, traditional crafts and Dolenjska cuisine. An integral part of the event is the traditional blessing ceremony held to mark the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (8 September) at Trška Gora, next to the pilgrimage Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The ceremony is an important part of the local tradition and cultural heritage.

Holy Mass will be celebrated at 7 pm, followed by a procession with the statue of the Virgin Mary and lanterns, accompanied by the singing of the Litany of Loreto.
