Children’s Play: The Bee Medela
On the occasion of World Bee Day, the Miran Jarc Library Novo mesto invites you to a puppet performance titled The Bee Medela, performed by the Sevnica Castle Puppet Theatre. The event will take place on Monday, 18 May 2026, at 17:00 in the Event Atrium.
The story introduces Bee Medela, the oldest and wisest bee in the hive far and wide. Thanks to her curiosity and love of learning, she knows a great deal about nature, medicinal herbs, organic food production, self-sufficiency and forests, making her a true treasure trove of knowledge and wisdom.
Through an interactive approach, the performance encourages respect for nature and care for the environment, in the spirit of the holiday celebrating one of the most important pollinators on our planet—the bee.
The performance will be held in Slovenian.
