Jazz Evening: Bone Voyage
You are invited to the second jazz evening of 2026, featuring Bone Voyage, who will perform on Saturday, 24 January 2025, at 8:30 pm.
Bone Voyage is a group made up of a quartet of trombonists, complemented by an energetic rhythm section. All members are jazz students at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and come from different countries. The initiative and organisation behind the project come from the Črnomelj Brass Band (Godba Črnomelj) and its member Andrej Zupančič. The group’s distinctive feature is the unique blend of four trombones, creating a warm, full and instantly recognisable sound.
During their studies, the ensemble has already performed several times in Graz, and in May 2025 they achieved their first major success by winning the 1st Prize cum laude at an international music festival in Belgium, which gave them a new creative boost. Bone Voyage is now embarking on their first tour, presenting original arrangements by the band members, written especially for this unique line-up. You are warmly invited to surrender to the gentle tones of these finely tuned trombones.
