Play: High Voltage
You are warmly invited to see the latest comedy by Matjaž Javšnik, High Voltage (Visoka napetost), which will take place on Saturday, 24 January 2026, at 7.00 pm in the Trdinova Hall at the KCJT Cultural Centre.
In the comedy High Voltage, we meet a middle-aged couple: she is the secretary to the director of a large privately owned company, while he is a lorry driver transporting pears. The main issue that puts their marriage to the test on a daily basis is the fact that one of them is infertile. We meet them at the moment when she returns from a trade union trip two days late. This immediately triggers a whirlwind of reminiscences, accusations, reproaches and a battle to prove who is right. This energetic, fast-paced performance, packed with verbal duels and situational comedy, is full of emotion and guaranteed entertainment. In a humorous way, it reminds us how important closeness is, and that true love overcomes all obstacles.
Step onto the carousel called marriage – a duet full of sparks and explosions! Where High Voltage is right at home!
The play is performed in the Slovenian language.
